Matt Barlow is an award-winning photographer and director whose work spans commercial advertising, documentary, and fine art photography. Shooting mostly in London, UK, he has built an international reputation for his meticulously crafted images and innovative approach to both still and moving imagery.
With over twenty years of experience, Matt specialises in creating staged images for leading advertising agencies, design groups & direct clients across UK, Europe and beyond. His distinctive visual style is characterised by an eagle-eyed attention to detail and profound exploration of colour, texture, and minimal graphic shapes. This signature approach has earned him commissions from many global blue chip clients including Dove, Coca-Cola, Schweppes, McDonald’s, Boots, Warburton’s, Diageo, PepsiCo. Financial clients include American Express, Barclays, NatWest, HSBC.
As a technical director and DOP, Matt continually pushes the boundaries of digital imagery through experimental techniques and emerging technologies.
Beyond his commercial work, Matt maintains an active fine art practice that examines themes of photographic authority and identity.
